Responsive design is not optional — it is the baseline

Over half your visitors are on a phone. If the site is not designed mobile-first, you are losing them silently.

Responsive design means the site adapts to whatever screen it is opened on — phone, tablet, laptop, big monitor. In 2026 this is not a feature, it is the price of entry.

Why it matters

  • Google indexes the mobile version of your site first.
  • 60–70% of traffic on most sites I build comes from phones.
  • A non-responsive site tells visitors "we are not paying attention".

What good mobile design looks like

  1. Text you can read without zooming.
  2. Tap targets big enough for a thumb.
  3. Menus that collapse cleanly instead of overflowing.
  4. Images that scale, not stretch.
  5. Forms that use the right keyboard type (email, phone, number).

Every project on my services is designed mobile-first and tested on real devices before launch. Feel free to get in touch if your current site struggles on a phone.
